This was shot after sunset for a Western Lifestyle Advertising Photography client, a trail riding outfitter and the temperature was about 3 degrees. The horses are kept during the day in the corral and there has been about 1200 pounds of hay spread out on the field, there are about 60 horses to feed. So when the corral gate is opened, they move pretty fast to get to the feed. This image was shot about 40 minutes after the sun went down behind a mountain and was shot with a Canon professional digital camera, 50 mm f1.4 lens, 1/4 second exposure handheld, 1000 ISO and then processed using Photoshop CS3 Beta and using the beta RAW converter. The only light is skylight and the kerosene lantern.
