So after my June shoot in the little old ladies’ house in Nesso, I have wanted to go back and shoot the Castle ruins. So I drove back to Nesso and drove around for the better part of an hour and I found the castle but no path to it. I finally found a sign: "Castello" with an arrow pointing up to the stairs. So I park the car and after hauling my carcass and the 30 pound camera bag up this seemingly endless supply of uneven rock steps, by time I got to the top my thighs were burning & I was wheezing and gasping for oxygen. So I get to where I thought the castle was and I did not see it. So I kept walking and I found this rock barn with 6” of grass growing out of the rock roof, see below. I then realize I’m past where the castle is so I turn around and walk back. I then see another "Castello" sign with an arrow pointing in the direction I was going in & it said 50 meters, which is almost the length of my stride. So I counted 55 paces and I was right back to where I thought the castle was. I then walk around to discover that yes, the castle was where I thought it was but there was not way to get there except maybe through a locked door. Shot with a Canon Professional Digital Camera & a Canon lenses set in RAW mode & processed in Photoshop.
