This series of images was shot on the ground floor, except for the last one, of the home in Milano I'm staying in. The house is on one of the original 6 streets of Milano, Via Nerino. Construction on the home started in the 1300's and continued for the next several hundred years. The large high doors would have been where the family kept the carriages and horses and this area is serviced via the back entrance that you can see in the first photo. The spiral stairs is typical for homes here in that the homes are huge so every member of the family could have their own apartment there by keeping the family close and together. (This is very Italian.) The part of the house I'm in has an elevator and is in the middle of the spiral staircase. Shot with a Canon Professional Digital Camera & a Canon lenses set in RAW mode & processed in Photoshop.
