A lot of fly fishing imagery is inherently challenging due to a majority of the locations being in small streams & rivers that are surrounded by trees. This plus most rivers and streams run North-South meaning getting early or late light on the subject is a problem. I talked to my client explaining what I was looking for and she told me about this location. We drove to where we could park the vehicles & I re-packed my camera bag to lighten the load for the 2 mile hike into the woods, downhill. When we arrived it was about 2 hours before sunset and after a quick scout I determined, that due to a high ridge covered with trees to the west, the last light would disappear about 30-40 minutes before sunset. I started to shoot within 10 minutes of arriving directing the talent to where I thought I could get some stunning imagery. I was able to shoot about 650+ images using the last vestiges of light before packing up and hiking back up the hill. Shot with Canon Professional Digital Cameras & Canon Professional lenses set in RAW mode & processed in Photoshop.
